Abstract

Financial exclusion remains a persistent challenge for rural women agripreneurs in developing countries. These women often lack access to affordable financial services due to infrastructural barriers, sociocultural norms, and limited digital literacy. Fintech-defined as the integration of technology into financial services-has emerged as a potential game-changer. This review explores how fintech solutions can close the financial inclusion gap by offering mobile banking, micro-insurance, digital credit, and blockchain-based platforms that bypass traditional banking systems. Drawing upon recent empirical evidence, this article analyzes the extent of fintech adoption, the barriers to scalability, and the socio-economic implications for women agripreneurs. It concludes with policy recommendations for governments and development agencies to catalyze inclusive digital financial ecosystems.
